How to avoid bumps when processing zinc alloy die castings
(1/8/2021)
At present, there are many domestic companies focusing on zinc alloy die-casting. They have very professional technology and rich experience in zinc alloy die-casting, and have strong advantages in product post-processing technology, quality, and delivery time. However, bad bumps often occur during processing, which greatly reduces the quality of zinc alloy die castings and invisibly increases manufacturing costs.

Analysis of the causes of bumps on zinc alloy die castings:
  1. It is caused by the side or corner of the mold, equipment or workbench being touched after the part is picked up after the mold is opened or the edge is punched;
  2. Improper stacking of zinc alloy die castings in various operating procedures;
  3. Improper operation by the operator in each operation procedure, such as throwing parts, etc.;
  4. Transfer between processes, such as protection, collapse, etc.;
  5. Bumps of operating tools in each operation process, such as die-casting hooks, picking pliers, etc., files and punches in the cleaning process.

Corresponding measures for zinc alloy die casting bruises:
  1. Be careful when picking up the package, no bumps are allowed;
  2. According to the requirements of the operating instructions, stacking is not allowed, and it must be neatly placed in the workstation equipment one by one
  3. Throwing parts is not allowed, handle with care, for example, the castings in the die-casting process must slide down slowly from the worktable, and they are not allowed to touch each other;
  4. The zinc alloy die castings in the work station equipment must be protected and separated, and the transfer must be slow to prevent the casting from collapsing or falling;
  5. Use operating tools correctly to prevent bumps. Die casting picking is not allowed to hook or pinch the casting body. The cleaning files and punches must be accurately operated on the parts to be cleaned.
